This little beauty is a 1 watt valve practice amp which is designed to give you pure valve tone at bedroom volumes. It uses a single ECC83 as a the pre-amp stage and then uses a 6AQ5 (EL90) as the output stage.
Keeping it simple we put in a single volume control and single tone control so there is minimal disruption to the signal path. You can select between Hi and Low inputs so giving you the option of high and low output pickups on your guitar. We utilise British made transformers and a Celestion 8” 15 watt speaker.
The cabs are repurposed from another manufacturer as we found they are a perfect size for our practice amp.
The Tiny has been designed so that you have a good amount of head room but also be able to push the pre-amp into pure valve break up. This enables you to use it as a very simple pedal platform whilst benefitting from the beauty of valve harmonics and soft clipping.
We’ve kept the cost of manufacture to a minimum (eg utilising repurposed cabs) so giving everyone the chance to purchase the very much sought after ‘valve tone’.
